Milden Wood Scow
Milden W. Scow 1912~2003 DESERET- Milden Wood Scow, 91, passed away May 13, 2003 in Delta. Born May 12, 1912 in Hurricane to Joseph Andrew and Emily Ellen Wood Scow. Milden married Arprilla Dewsup on December 24, 1939 in Deseret. Later the marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple. Early years in Hurricane. After his mother's death he moved with father to Deseret. With Arprilla he owned and operated Deseret Cash Store until the flood of 1983 took out their home and store. Active member of LDS Church serving in several positions in Deseret Ward. Member of West Millard Kiwanis Club 50 years. Survived by wife: Arprilla, Deseret; son: Darrel Scow, Sandy; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; half-brother: Thain Scow, Salt Lake City; daughter-in-law: Sandra Mork, Delta. Preceded in death by son: Henry Kent Dewsnup. Funeral services Friday May 16, 2003, 11 am, Deseret-Oasis Ward. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary Thursday 7-8 p.m. and again at the church Friday 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial will be in the Deseret Cemetery.

Arprilla Scow
Arprilla D. Scow
Arprilla D. Scow 1918 ~ 2003 DESERET- Arprilla Dewsnup Scow, 85, passed away on November 19, 2003 in Delta, Utah after a prolonged illness. Arprilla was born on May 16, 1918 in Deseret, Utah, to Henry and Mary Jane "Mollie" Dewsnup. She married Milden Wood Scow on December 24, 1939. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple in 1965. Mel died May 13, 2003. Arprilla grew up in Deseret, Utah where she also lived after her marriage. She, along with her husband, owned and operated the Deseret Cash Store for 40 years until it was destroyed in the 1983 flood. She worked as a secretary at the Delta High School for 18 years. Arprilla was an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Arprilla was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a great love for music and served as the ward chorister for most of her life. Aprilla served in many different Church positions including managing the Beehive Clothing Center in Delta. Arprilla generously shared her time and talents in serving her family, friends, and community throughout her life. Arprilla is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law: Darrel and Alice Gaye Scow of Sandy; and her Sister: Ulala Mace of Delta. Arprilla has seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Henry and Mary Jane "Mollie" Dewsnup; her Husband: Milden Wood Scow; her Son: Henry Kent Dewsnup; and her Sister: Winona Dutson. At Arprilla's request, graveside services only, will be held Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, 11:30 a.m. at the Deseret Cemetery. Family and friends may call at a viewing Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Nickle Mortuary. Family prayer will immediately follow the Monday viewing. Procession will then travel to the Deseret Cemetery for graveside services. Arprilla will be greatly missed
